A topic that always seems to rear it's head each year is the question "Can we sell stuff on the streets legally?" and every year we bumble around going, "Oooh, permits are needed, but we're not too sure."
So, this year, I decided to sort it out properly - and this is the advice from the British Consulate in Ibiza.
"This is a legal Spanish matter. We recommend you to contact a Spanish lawyer or a Gestoria which be able to answer this question.
Attached our list of English Speaking Lawyers in Ibiza and our list of Gestorias with English Speaking staff which you will find useful."
I've got no idea about what a Gestoia is - but am guessing that it's a legal firm.
The flies are attached for the lists that my Spanish friend sent through...
If you need the list of Gestorias, then PM me as the file is too large to attach here.
To summarise then, yes you can sell, but only with the right permits, and we would STRONGLY recomend you get these before attempting any sorts of sales - if you're nicked without the permits, you could be in a lot of trouble.
Hope this helps..... |

Leah...
To be honest I don't know your answer. It sounds to me like to do it legally you would have to set up a business within Spain and that can be tricky as you would be responsible for your own social secruity payments. You need to seek out proper legal advice unfortunetly. However I would imagine that yes you would need some kind of permit to trade on the beach. Why don't you try and get in touch with somebody that works for Ibiza Angels and see if they can give you any further clues? Alternatively apply for a job with them, there is one currently on our job vacancy forum. That might be your answer. All the best |

I highly doubt that you would get in any sort of trouble for offering massages on the beach... last year I never saw any police or "policia" patrolling who was giving people massages... i bet you could make a lot of money offering this type of service to people... especially because so many people are not in the right frame of mind in ibiza, it'd be hard for anyone to say no to a service as great as a massage... i wouldn't worry about getting in any trouble if you were to provide people with this type of service |

leah, have you thought about working for the ibiza angels??
they have contracts with all the big clubs, and mambo's etc...
although you wont be working alone, all the angels last year made a lot of money!! some of them up to €300 a night!
worth a thought!?
