WORKERS AND EMPLOYERS UNITE
IBIZA JOBS AND SOCIAL DAY

www.digitalibiza.com in conjunction with www.balearic-jobs.com are to arrange an open day.


This will be a great day for new workers, you will have the chance to meet seasoned workers as well as bar, club and restaurant owners

VENUE: The Ship Inn - San Antonio
DATE: Saturday 22 April 2006
TIME: from 1.30pm

Thank you to the Ship Inn for permitting us to hold this event.

Digitalibiza will contact employers and invite them.

To help us with arrangements, please vote if you intend on attending

   Hi Rob, there's quite a few of us not gettin there til early-mid May, is there any chance the date could be changed before its too late, or poss hold another info gathering midway through May as I dont doubt it will be popular and informative but only as long as people are there..  Thanks.. Paul

Its unlikely, May would be too late (as I have discovered in the past), the vast majority of workers arrive in early April.  Also it would be more difficult for employers to attend as many places have fully opened and taken on staff then.

However I do not have the final say, that's down to Pete at DigitalIbiza.com, you could ask him.

Hi,

I am also planed to go mid-may, and attend to stay and work for full season, is it too late then? I mean should I go to Ibiza sooner now, or is there a chance to get into the good places at may too?

I agree April is a bit on the early side BUT ! I have an idea

Why not have 2 of these open days atleast that would be fair on people arriving in April & May.

What does everybody think to this common sense approach ???

I'm a bit confused to why you all think the end of April is early. It's actually late! The majority of workers espically the people that return on a regular basis go over in early April to get the jobs. By mid May, the early season is in full swing and would be to late for a workers party for both workers and espically employers. I will bring this to the attention of Pete who is actually organising the party and knows San An better than anyone, I will see what he says.

Hi All

May IS too late for an open day.  All the employers will be working in their bars and could not attend!  Therefor  it would not really give anyone a chance to speak to them.

I don't really thing there is much we can do.  Changing it to May would be pointless I think.  We could have another get-together in May, though there would be little chance of getting employers there, but it's still a good way to meet other people who will be working on the island

There are still plenty jobs available in Mid May, so don't think you have missed out.

yeah, the type of work i am looking for doesnt start recruiting till end of may anyway so if i did get there in mid april i would have spent alot of money by the time i start working and thats not my plan!
